2010 NFL Mock Draft by Chris Crawford

Scouting Reports-- updated 2/8/10

Quarterbacks

1) Jimmy Clausen- Position: QB, College: Notre Dame- Junior, 6-3" 217 lbs -----------------Strengths: good size and build, great arm strength, quick release, good accuracy, decisive with the football, great football IQ, knows NFL offense, reads coverage, sees entire field, roll out or step up in pocket, great poise/mentally tough, film room rat, confident, very polished. Weaknesses: play action, not great footwork, lacks some pocket awareness, leadership. My Opinion: Clausen is the best QB in this draft class and is a franchise QB for whichever team drafts him. He is a hardworker and a very intelligent player. His arm strength is great and he can fit the ball into very small windows. Even though, he is not the best QB he can roll out of the pocket or step up in the pocket. Also, he has NFL offense experience playing for Charlie Weis in a west coast offense.

2) Sam Bradford- Position: QB, College: Oklahoma- Junior, 6-4" 214 lbs----------------------Strengths: good size, great accuracy, leads wide recievers well, carasmatic, timing, good decision-maker, footwork, produces, quick release, strong leader and personality, athletic. Weaknesses: arm strength, touqhness, injuries, questionable about accuracy on the run. My Opinion: Bradford could easily be a bust in the NFL. He does not have elite arm strength and had a great surrounding cast un Oklahoma. I think he is an overrated QB that is easily injured. Hopefully he proves me completely wrong.

3) Tim Tebow- Position: QB, College: Florida- Senior, 6-3" 235 lbs------------------------------Strengths: good size and muscular, pocket instincts, ability to run, athletic, powerful runner, yards after contact, great character and personality, work ethic, great leader and role model. Weaknesses: left handed, awful footwork, inaccurate on short routes, does not see the entire field, runs too much, not NFL styled offense, doesn't make NFL coverage reads.         My Opinion: If put in the right position I think Tebow will surprise people. Of course he is not the ideal right handed, step up in the pocket, accurate passer. He is a threat with his legs and he showed a lot in the Allstate Sugar Bowl. Tebow is accurate on his deep passes and has a very strong arm. His leadership is amazing and if given the chance he can take over an offense.

Scouting reports for RB, WR, TE, OT, OG, C, DE, DT, OLB, ILB, CB and Safety coming soon.
